Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust has an excellent and exciting opportunity for a hard–working, enthusiastic and experienced Divisional Head of Finance. We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated and enthusiastic CCAB qualified accountant.

The Trust is a progressive and ambitious teaching and research organisation which provides specialised and tertiary services. With a turnover of GBP550m and over 8,000 staff, it treats over three quarters of a million patients each year.

Reporting to the Deputy Director – Financial Management, you will provide a high quality, professional financial management advice and support service to a range of services and projects in order to support decision–making and be an integral part of the divisional teams. The development and monitoring of efficiency plans is a key aspect of the role, as is providing financial input and challenge to business cases in support of service developments.

With the experience to be the lead accountant and financial adviser for the divisions\/projects assigned, as well as to support the Deputy Director – Financial Management, the successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in a financial management environment and have the ability to operate at a strategic level.
