The Role Responsibilities


Business Support
  • End to end analysis and management of cost (incurred and allocations) for Retail Bank including identifying risks and opportunities for cost
  • Support the efforts of the business to to properly identify drivers to allocate expense in the annual drivers update exercise
  • Ensuring accuracy & timeliness of financial numbers and key performance indicators MI packs by working closely with GFS

  • Review and challenge assumptions of plans as reflected in the Business Plans/ Programs

  • Support value-added analysis and insights to management
  • Develop industry and competitive models that drive strategic decisions
  • Invloved in Budgeting and forecasting exercise.
  • Understand the bank service/allocation charge allocation methodology to identify opportunities and risks in Actuals/Plan/Forecast process
  • Stategic Partner to optimize expense base within annual budgets, looking for efficiencies and helping business to meet the annual plan while prioritizing expenses .
  • Provide market intelligence on key competitors' performance and highlight any changes in the competitive landscape
  • Involved in reviewing Project Execution Document and benefits review in Clarity
  • Support Project Management Office in the investment prioritization process in the annual budget exercise
Financial Controls
  • Partner with GFS, London teams, Region and Country levels to ensure robust financial processes in place to report financial performance for Retail Banking in an accurate and timely manner
  • Continued focus on productivity and outsourcing production opportunities. Ensure GFS service levels are maintained in line with onshore requirements

Our Ideal Candidate
  • At least 10 years of working experience in Planning, Finance and Accounting.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities to develop insights to senior management
  • Good working knowledge in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Proactively question and improve status quo, think outside the box to improve productivity, data accuracy and reporting process.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems and work in the larger team
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills, forming positive working relationship in the multicultural environment.
