We are currently working on a Business Transformation Programme, that will include the implementation of SAP (S/4 HANA) across the Group, and the set-up of the Global Business Services (GBS). The new GBS centre in North Dublin will manage a wide scope of Finance and Commercial process for the Group's Business Units.

Description:

Reporting to the O2C Manager, the successful candidate will supervise a small team of Credit Analysts working in SAP to manage the Group's credit exposure and implement the Group's Credit Risk and Credit Insurance policies. The Credit Risk Lead will work closely with the Account Receivable team and Business stakeholders, to ensure that credit limits are set and managed at commercial levels and credit insurance covers are adequate for key export customers. The Credit Risk Lead will also be responsible for day to day reporting on Credit Risk exposures and for the oversight of team work queues to ensure SLA's are being met.

Responsibilities:

Transformation Programme
  • As part of the formation of a centralised credit management function, define the new policies and processes for credit management in Glen Dimplex;
  • Establish effective working relationships with key business stakeholders;
  • Work with the Training function to ensure an effective training plan for all Credit Management related processes;
  • Work with the Data Migration team to ensure an accurate and complete migration of data from legacy systems to SAP;
  • Support knowledge transfer from Business Units for activities where work will be transferring into the new GBS Centre;
  • Actively engage in ensuring SAP supports the new Credit Management processes through participation in the various project test cycles;
  • Take part in training on new SAP based processes for your team;
  • Support accurate and complete data migration for Credit Limits existing in legacy systems;
  • Support system testing for activities relating to your team (UAT);
  • Manage documentation of new Credit Risk and Credit Insurance processes and Business knowledge gathering.


Order to Cash Activities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the SAP Credit Risk management processes and reporting;
  • Manage the Group's relationship with Credit Risk agencies - primarily Dun & Bradstreet - ensuring that comprehensive, high quality data is available at all times to support credit risk decision making;
  • Take over the management of all Credit Insurance policies and develop strong relationship with the Group's Credit Insurance Brokers / Underwriters;
  • Manage worklists for Credit Cases and providing team oversight to ensure consistent and robust application of the Group's Credit Risk and Credit Insurance Policy;
  • Liaise with Group Finance over major credit exposures to ensure full communication of high credit limits, accounts where exposure is high and where specific credit risks exist;
  • Close working with the O2C Manager and AR Team Lead to ensure a detailed day to day understanding of credit exposures and near-limit accounts;
  • Oversight and management of key Credit Risk controls such as Credit Blocks;
  • Manage periodic credit limit reviews across all ledgers;
  • Co-ordinate and critically review reporting on Credit Risk team activities, volumetrics and KPI's;
  • Supporting recruitment process;
  • Identify and manage team training needs and work with the O2C Manager to obtain any agreed training;
  • Provide performance management and coaching to direct reports;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in Credit Risk and Credit Insurance.


Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 3 years experience in Credit Risk Management, ideally in a Global Business Services environment;
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system desirable;
  • Assertive and able to make sound commercial judgements (e.g. when faced with Business challenges to credit limits or challenges to credit stops being applied);
  • Proven team management skills - motivation, coaching, performance management;
  • Able to prioritise activities such as management of worklists and queues;
  • Willingness to learn to develop business and system skills;
  • Knowledge of a second European language would be an advantage (e.g. German, French);
  • University degree.
