This role is key to the day–to–day running of the 'regulatory change coordination' which runs within the 'RIA' team. The role will also work across the RIA team, assisting and leading impact assessment work as required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Become the key manager of regulatory scanning activities for the reg change coordination capability
  • Assist in analysis of regulatory requirements to map to internal entities, products, client categories, trading scenarios etc. to define high level scope
  • Help evaluate commercial implications of regulatory requirements and outline high level "tradability" implications
  • Assist in establishing high level process design to support changes to client, commercial offering and impacted controls in alignment with BI operating principles and Enterprise Process Taxonomy
  • Help simplify and improve F2B strategic processes using Regulatory requirements as a catalyst
  • Leverage Enterprise Process Taxonomy and Standards to identify impacted Process Owners and outline target state roles and responsibilities at early stage in regulatory change lifecycle

Person Specification

  • Values collaboration as part of a team but can operate independently

  • Can manage a large set of data and is able to enforce and improve data quality
  • Clear communication (oral and written)
  • Good presentation skills (both preparation and delivery)
  • Previous experience of large scale Cross Asset Regulatory analysis and implementation
  • Knowledgeable of cross asset Change initiatives, business processes inefficiencies, and front to back infrastructure
  • Ability to support analysis, design, governance, and control of regulatory change
  • Relevant product knowledge and supporting functions in one or more asset classes
  • Ability to document non automated and non–strategic business processes and propose sustainable and pragmatic design options
  • Can understand and translate processes easily without being a subject matter expert in a product or asset class
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships and persuade and influence others
  • Can do attitude; willingness and eagerness to learn, and drive to get things done
  • Ability to plan and work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment

Basic Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelors' Degree
  • 5+ years of experience working with large scale Cross Asset Regulatory analysis and implementation
  • 3+ years working within financial services/ investment banking.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Exposure to a mandatory deliverable environment with external dependencies (such as regulatory requirements)
  • Ability to navigate a cross–functional and/or multi–regional environment
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience
  • Basic understanding of data structures and relational data (e.g. unique IDs, mandatory fields etc)
