HR Assistant / Executive Assistant to the VP and CFO

Summary
Responsible for providing administrative and office support to the Vice President/ CFO and the Director of Human Resources. This is a full time position, reporting to the Vice President & CFO with dotted line responsibility to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities
General HR responsibilities, such as recruiting, onboarding, and benefit administration, including maintenance of employee data in the HR database system. Routine functions within the vice president's office, including mail, phones, calendar, and other items such as assisting with the preparation of the college budget and board meetings. Assists the business office as needed.

Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent education and experience in human resources, accounting, or payroll, plus 5 years related office experience, preferably in higher education. Proficient technical skills in MS Office including Excel. Ability to multi–task and work in an inclusive community; detail oriented; strong communication, analytical, problem solving and organization skills. Successful candidate will have past experience in roles where databases, data accuracy and excel were key responsibilities. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality is critical. Experience with relational database structure and report writing preferred.
