The Job in a nutshell:
Within the Billing Operations and Change Team fulfill a central role by coordinating and supporting billing/payments changes, identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies, cost savings and improving the customer billing and payments experience. This person is a billing/payments and change management and risk management risk specialist with experience and knowledge of billing and payments systems, processes and controls. The scope of the role also includes supporting and managing customer impacting projects from design through to implementation.
What else it involves
Manage, lead and/or support projects in relation to Billing or payments.
For any new products and services ensure the billing organisation's requirements are accurately and adequately met
Ensure system and process changes achieve the correct balance between efficiency, cost effectiveness, customer experience and risk taking
Deliver solutions for new products and services such that billing is accurate with no negative impacts on the business and the customer's billing experience
Ensure that the billing and payments requirements for each project are accurately captured and included in the project
Act as the point of contact for billing and payments related projects and ensure the billing/payments operations teams are fully briefed with respect to ongoing projects
Ensure effective communications with all project stakeholders
Act as the billing/payments point of contact for billing/payments queries, projects, issues etc.
Maintain awareness of business changes and priorities and proactively engage stakeholders to ensure billing interests are adequately represented
Design, lead and implement systems and process improvements using knowledge of the business and data analytics to drive both costs savings and end to end efficiencies
Analyse billing/payments (and associated operations), customer and finance data to support continuous improvement initiatives and provide insights to the business and resolve issues
Support the incident management process as required
Be prepared to work with third party service providers in the delivery, improvement and review of services provided to Three
Support and contribute to the achievement of the team's KPIs
Produce clear documents, reports, communications and presentations
Ensure change management process is followed ensuring a clear and accurate record of all changes is kept for audit purposes.
An understanding of the regulatory environment related to telecommunications billing and payments
National and international travel is a requirement of this role
The skills we're looking for
Detailed knowledge and experience of telecommunications billing covering rating, discounting, billing cycles, bill production, payments and collections
Educated to Bachelor's degree level or other related third level qualification in a financial, business, technical or related subject
The capability to deliver change and continuous improvement in a fast changing environment
Ability to quickly absorb the workings of technical systems and applications and apply that knowledge to support, change and problem resolution
Helps others to learn and shares knowledge and best practice - is approachable and accessible to colleagues in need of support or guidance
Strong analytical and Problem-solving skills, the ability to use data to draw relevant conclusions. Attention to detail is critical in all aspects of this job
Customer focused & proven team player & results driven, with strong focus on delivery & time management
Excellent understanding of project management and meeting/workshop facilitation
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and ability to produce clear documents, business reports and presentations
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships at all levels within the business
€ Previous experience of process improvement and methodologies is an advantage
