ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The essential duties include assisting management with development of tools and reports, process documentation and ad–hoc analysis. Provide objective insights, timely reporting, effective analysis and overall finance support to ensure productive management reviews, financially based decisions and proactive responses to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Provide assistance with the analysis and preparation of monthly, quarterly and year–end financial reports including analysis and evaluation of the data
  • Ensure timely execution of the month end closing process in conjunction with the Accounting team
  • Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of results against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision–making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan
  • Recommend and participate in the implementation of changes to accounting procedures and reports in an ongoing effort to continuously improve the quality of information and services provided
  • Understand and facilitate the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology, in order to identify, configure, and communicate useful information, and to provide practical business leadership to drive business decision making across the company
  • Participates in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Maintain well–organized and efficient departmental files to provide easy accessibility to pertinent information
  • Provide efficient, courteous service to all company personnel and respond to telephone calls, email, and questions in a courteous, timely, and friendly manner.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business or Associates degree with 3 or more years of experience
    • 1 or more years of experience in an accounting function
    • Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills
    • Ability to quickly gain technical knowledge on a wide variety of materials and software
    • Must be able to multi task and work in a fast–paced environment while remaining organized
    • Ability to analyze and make competent decisions independently
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep current developments and trends. Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs
    • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and a changing business environment
    • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Solid time management skills& ability to multi–task
    • Ability to maintain confidential information
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 2–4 years of experience in an accounting function
    • 6 or more months of experience with Sage 50
    • Experience with ADP or UltiPro software
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • Operates a computer using fine motor skills 75% of the time
    • Verbally communicates with other employees 50% of the time
    • Works in a climate controlled office environment
