Financial Audit Reporting Professional

Key Role:

Support USMC Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts to meet the congressionally mandated deadline to achieve fully auditable financial statements. Perform a wide variety of analysis and reporting on DoD audit and A–123 initiatives. Collect and analyze data sets and develop executive–level briefings and reports. Communicate with client stakeholders and subject matter professionals both orally and in writing. Maintain a excellent working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform services. Work closely with the client and team to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues. This position is located in Crystal City, VA.

Basic Qualifications:
–7+ years of experience with accounting, auditing, or financial management
–Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and developing executive level briefings at the expert skill level
–Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
–Knowledge of financial statements for federal accounting, including general ledgers, such as USSGL
–Secret clearance
–BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

–Experience with financial audits
–Experience in the FIAR community a plus
–Knowledge of DoD financial management practices or business processes preferred
–Knowledge of A–123, GAAP, GAAS, or similar accounting preferred
–Ability to excel in a culture with a high degree of ambiguity

–Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
–Possession of excellent technical, analytical, and problem–solving skills
–MA or MS degree preferred
–PMP, CDFM, CIA, or CGFM Certification preferred

–CPA License preferred
