Manager, Financial Reporting
Job Description
• Ensure compliance with the Group's financial reporting policies and reporting requirements
• Deliver half year and year end local financial statements in accordance with HK Accounting Standards and the Banking Disclosure requirements
• Implement new accounting standards and disclosure requirements
• Ensure an effective and efficient internal control system is in place for financial reporting
• Review quarterly IFRS packs submitted to the Group
• Prepare financial statements for the Bank and its subsidiaries
• Provide accounting advice to internal stakeholders
• Participate in UAT to ensure that financial reporting requirements are addressed
• Identify areas to improve efficiency and quality of financial reporting; This may involve planning and implementing necessary changes and system enhancements
• Address issues with internal and external auditors
Qualifications and Skills
• Qualified accountant with relevant working experience in banking services
• Knowledge of banking products and transaction processing systems and general ledger processes
• Ability to perform requirement gathering and analysis independently
• Ability to work in an organised way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data, and achieve deadlines
• Inter-personal skills which are sufficiently well developed
• Good communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex messages quickly and succinctly to various senior stakeholders
• High levels of drive and resilience along with attention to detail
