Role: IT Business Analyst
Location: Leeds
Salary – GBP35,000 – GBP46,000 + 5% bonus + private medical healthcare + 2X life cover insurance + more.

A global organisation based in Leeds are seeking an IT Business Analyst who will act as the key contributor to the IT change management capability. Business Analysts are required to work with business stakeholders to understand problems and help support the definition of IT solutions. The IT Business Analyst is a key liaison between the Business and IT and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand functional and non–functional requirements. The IT Business Analyst assists with the creation of requirements documentation, project briefs and IT solution documents to enable IT delivery

Accountabilities:
* Supports the Shaping, Initiation and Delivery phases of IT projects
* Supports and provide IT input to bids/tender responses
* Facilitates requirements conversations with Product Owners, Business and Delivery Teams
* Documents requirements (functional / non–functional)
* Documents Epics, Features, User stories to support internal software development
* Defines acceptance criteria for solutions
* Documents IT and Business Processes
* Works with stakeholders to prioritise requirements
* Communicates requirements and obtain approval of design and solutions
* Identifies risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and constraints to change
* Undertakes impact, option and solution feasibility assessments
* Supports creation of business cases and cost/benefit analysis
* Reviews and provide feedback on third party design proposals
* Assures third party delivery and alignment to requirements
* Contributes to the wider BA Community of Practice
* Completes required status reports and time recording activity

* Facilitation – Must have facilitation techniques to manage stakeholders at all levels in meetings/workshops and to accurately record agreed outcomes and ensure follow–up activity is tracked and completed
* Influencing – Must have negotiation and influencing skills to progress actions/issues and gain agreement/sign–off of deliverables
* Self–Management– Self–Organised and capable of managing multiple parallel tasks

Knowledge & Tools
* Domain Expertise – Desirable to have industry experience of the B2B or B2C Gas and Electricity sector
* BA Tools and Techniques– Experience of process mapping (BPMN or similar), data modelling (ER Diagrams, system modelling (UML), requirements specification (User Stories, Functional Specifications)
* Technology – Exposure to general IT concepts including programming, database management and hardware technologies is desirable
* Tools – Desirable to have experience of development and requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Team Services. Must have experience of MS Applications including Visio
* Project Methodology – Desirable to have exposure to agile ways of working (SCRUM, DSDM) and tools (e.g. Kanban)

Qualifications and Experience
* Educated to A–level standard, degree level or equivalent – preferred but not essential
* Good writing/communication skills are very important in this role (GCSE English, Maths)
* Desirable to have or be undertaking learning towards a recognised BA qualification e.g. ISEB, IIBA
* 2–3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or similar within an IT or Change function
