This is an exciting opportunity for a established assistant accountant to join a growing business based on the Chester. This permanent role will be reporting into the Financial Controller.

Description

This Assistant Accountant role will include the following;

Commercial.

  • Analysing historical financial data to actively seek improvements
  • Analysing billing information to reconcile revenue streams - you will be an active part of a project to uniform billing terms with customers
  • Support the sales function with new business bids and tenders by analysing data and proofing agreements to new customers
  • Costing and pricing
  • Checks and validations
  • Accountancy.

  • Income accruals
  • Journals
  • Management accounting, supporting the group consolidation
  • Producing a month end pack for one of the groups businesses
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Aged Debt
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Supporting with Year end
  • Budgeting and forecasting alongside the FD
  • Supporting the Financial Director with investment opportunities, growth and acquisitions
  • Profile

    The ideal skills for this role will cover the following;

  • Previous involvement in month end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
  • Excellent accountancy software such as strong Excel
  • AAT Qualified or Graduate in accountancy and finance
  • Active CIMA / ACCA studies (early to mid-stages)
  • Keen to develop skills and support a group function
