Accounts Assistant

Luxury retailer in Warrington is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance department. Ideally an ACCA/CIMA studier this will give the successful candidate a great footing in the finance department of an amazing brand, they provide great support for a studier and is a great learning environment.

Client Details

My client is an independent retailer that supplies a luxury product to a growing market, they have recently expanded and have offered a new role of Account Assistant within the business.

They have been at the heart of the local community in Warrington for over 25 years and are now turning over in excess of £30m and have over 400 staff.

Description

The following duties for the Accounts Assistant will be:

-Validation of internal information (check all purchase invoices with proof of deliveries, purchase order and quotations)

-Collaborating and building relationships with operations and day to day liaison with site managers to enable smooth functioning of costing process

-Maintaining company's purchase ledger on accounts system.

-Ensuring that the VAT element of the invoice is correctly recorded.

- Generating reports for stock, sales, fixed asset depreciation.

- Responsible for the preparation and presentation of weekly/monthly accounts

- involvement with management accounts Journals/reconciliations.

Profile

The successful Accounts Assistant MUST have the below qualities:

-Strong systems knowledge - Kerrdige extremely desirable

-Great work attitude

-Advanced Excel skills

-Able to work to deadlines

-Able to make decisions independently

-Able to work as part of a team environment

- Experience of dealing with management accounts
