Trainee Accountant

One of Europe's leading financial institutions , has an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join their Finance team in Dublin 1.

**This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and the successful candidate will gain exposure to the company's executive leadership team.**

This is a diversified accounting role with responsibility for:

· Client invoicing and administration of accounts receivable process

· Operation of the accounts payable process and P2P system

· Preparing reconciliations and Processing GL Transactions

· Ongoing tax, VAT and compliance reporting

· Payroll analysis & integration to GL

· Ad hoc reporting requests

· Reporting to Group in line with established processes and timelines

· Production of regulatory and statistical reports to the CBI, CSO, etc.

· Input to Financial statements / statutory accounts and the external audit process

The Candidate:

· Minimum 2.1 Honours degree, preferably in a finance related discipline

· Studying for, or considering, ACCA qualification or similar

· Effective time management skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines

· Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills

· Motivated individual who uses their initiative
