We are currently handling a new permanent opportunity for a 'hands on’ accountant job working for a well established manufacturing company based in the Wrexham area. This role will be reporting to the Financial Controller and undertaking the following duties:
  • Preparation of the month end accounts to trial balance for 3 companies for review by the Financial Controller including, variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Month-end routines journals, accruals, prepayments
  • Involvement in reviewing stock systems
  • Assisting with re design of the current accounts package
  • Assisting with budget/forecast preparation
  • Back up Payroll, VAT, Intrastats
  • Ad hoc reporting as and when required
  • System used is Sage Line 200

Skills/Experience
  • Accounts to Trial Balance - Essential
  • Would ideally suit someone who is either AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience with experience in a similar role
  • An experienced accountant with exposure within a growing SME and manufacturing environments, advantageous
  • Conversant with Excel
  • Ability to work off own initiative with excellent communication skills is key in this role, as the business grows it will experience change and ad hoc reporting and analysis of numbers could be required at short notice

Benefits/Salary
  • £23,000 to £30,000 per annum
