What is your tribe mission?
Engineering identity solutions that radically simplify how customers safely interact with us online.

As an Engineering Chapter Lead in the Customer Authentication Tribe you’ll be working as part of a high performing cross-functional team building out our omni-channel identity platform, identity microservices and progressive web apps. You will also be focused on helping teams build a best in class engineering practice in Financial Services bringing your leadership and expertise to the tribe.

What will be in your toolkit?
  • A passion for radically simplifying customer focused identity and access management
  • Knowledge and practical experience designing and developing modern CIAM technologies, such as: Forgerock, Ping and AuthO or progressive development of platforms from Oracle, CA etc
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing identity solutions for customer’s in-line with the security principles and OWASP guidelines.
  • Familiarity in defining and implementing large, complex digital client experiences integrated with master data, back-end transactional systems, security
  • Experience in modern development practices and languages such as: Java, Go, Kotlin, NodeJS, and JavaScript/React
  • A thirst and willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies (e.g. self-learning, community involvement, or contributing to open source) bringing benefits into the tribe
  • Ability to work with operations and architecture groups developing scalable and supportable applications; and consult with our Product Owners, Technical Partners and Customer Experience/Proposition teams/Squads to understand their goals and priorities for both new initiatives and the current portfolio of systems.
  • Influence and align with the Digital Technical Strategy including Architectural Principles, Technical Roadmaps, Application Roadmaps, design patterns and development practices
  • Experience in leading a practice of engineers; developing standards, operating rhythm and ensuring ongoing commercial value
  • Design, implement, triage and diagnose defects/issues across the full stack
  • Write unit tests, perform code reviews, and be involved with design discussions about architecture, data models, business logic
You will also have the following specialised skills:
  • Experience with one of the major cloud providers (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) as well as Docker/Kubernetes/Openshift
  • Experience with continuous integration/delivery. Tooling such as Git/GitHub, Bamboo/Jenkins, Spinnaker, Google Cloud Build, Gradle, NPM/Yarn, SonarQube, etc.
  • Experience working with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches
  • Ability to use open source technologies and tools
This is a role for an experienced Lead Engineer and involves both people and technical leadership.
