Established over 100 years ago, our client has grown into a leading trading company with a large global presence and are specialists in their field. With the group growing on the whole and the US business poised to grow rapidly over the next 18 months and this is a great time to join the organisation.

The business has recently brought in a new CFO in order to support this growth and he is looking for a No.2 to strengthen the finance team. He is a really bright and entrepreneurial individual and as such would be a great mentor and this Financial Controller role would be lined up to become FD of the group within the next 2 years. This role offers great and clear set progression within a growing business based in East London (Canary Wharf).

Description

The Role

This Financial Controller will have broad remit within the business but will include the following key responsibilities:

  • Strategy - Partner with the CFO on business strategy including Joint Ventures and M&A planning
  • Consolidated Reporting - ownership and oversight of Monthly Reporting pack as well as statutory reporting for the groups 16 entities (UKGAAP)
  • Systems and process improvements - current systems role out headed by the CFO, assist where needed and take ownership of process improvements
  • Management - Line Management of the head office finance team (3 Part-Qualified) as well as dotted line to local finance teams
  • Guide and Develop Finance Team - Ongoing training and development of members of the finance teams. Potential recruitment and training of further members.
