Finance Assistant

Reed are extremely excited to be partnering with a prestigeous and highly regarded Educational Instituation based in North West London. Founded in 1850, they're an academicallty selective school with around 750 students in the Senior School and 300 in the Junior School.

With an International footprint also, they have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join the team in the beautiful and picturesque grounds based in North West London.

Finance Officer

Hours of work: Full time, 40 hours per week (8:30am - 5:00pm) 30 minutes lunch.

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum. Study support is also on offer towards recognised accounting qualifications (AAT, ACCA, ICAEW).

Reporting to our the Finance Bursar your responsible but not limited to the following:

- Preperation of Monthly and Quarterly reconciliations, includinhg VAT returns.
- Preperation of cash flow forecasts
- Collating annual revenue and capital budgets
- Supporting budget holders in preperation and monitoring budgets
- Termly management accounts, monitoring expenditure on a monthly basis.
- Agreeing and monitoring budgets for school residential trips.
- Reconciliation of pension costs and contributions
- Prep of staff budgets
- Providing cover for other members of the finance team and Finance Bursar as and when required
- Providing financial information and support budget holders throughout the school

Essential

- 18 monthjs expereince working in a finance role
- GCSE Maths & English at grade C or above
- Good verbal and written and communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Excel (V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables & Macros)

Desirable

- Hold AAT level 2 or 3, or a related accounting qualification
- Experience on SAGE 200 software
