The role as Management Accountant is all encompassing with preparing financial statements, having the platform to implement change and also the opportunity to manage in the very near future. The company and their ethos is very relaxed, energetic and cool and the ideal candidate would embody that and be comfortable working in a dress down environment every day.
Client Details
The brewery have a turnover of about £5m and just closed a funding circle account with circa £1m raised in capital. This equates to a 30% growth YOY and the intention of expanding through their bars, nightclubs and restaurants continues. The offices are based over in Hackney in a warehouse which has a shabby chic vibe. It is very much a casual and fluid environment with free lunch, drinks and pizza.
Description
The key responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries for the group
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Weekly cash and card reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations at each period end
- Ad-hoc management reporting
- Working proactively to support other departments and enabling them to have relevant information that can enhance profitability
- Accounts payable and receivable (as the business continues to grow, you will be given the opportunity to recruit and manage someone for this role)
Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Have completed most if not all the responsibilities listed (the client is willing to train on the job)
- Be part qualified/studying in CIMA/ACCA (Will look at QBE and AAT studiers also)
- Ideally be familiar with Sage 50 and Xero
- Be extremely articulate and outgoing
- Be comfortable working in a warehouse in casual attire
- Be a good fit to the quirky culture and values
- Understand that as the business is growing, some processes are still being fully developed
- Be extremely data literate with good analytical skills
