Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and support monthly reporting to ensure that monthly tasks are prepared accurately and to deadlines
- Prepare IFRS 9 credit provisioning calculations and adjustments, including investigation and resolution of discrepancies
- Prepare analysis for overheads and other selected lines for branches
- Support preparation of monthly reporting packs
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
- Preparation of funding graphs to identify funding requirements for the loan book
- Review invoices and ensure that they are coded correctly
- Preparation of standard and ad-hoc journals
- Support the corporation tax and PSA processes to ensure the tax team receive accurate information on a timely basis
- Assist the preparation of interim and full year group reporting packs as well as financial statements
- Support the external year-end audit process to ensure a clean audit report
- Continually review existing reporting and make improvements to the quality of information provide
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks requested by the line manager or Finance Manager
Skills and Experience:
- Degree from a top University, minimum 2.1
- Good A-Levels
- Must look to study towards either ACCA/CIMA
- Strong understanding of accruals accounting, double entries and basic accounting standards
- A high level of IT competency, particularly in Excel skills (vlookup and pivots), including ability to manage large volumes of data. Desire to learn Alteryx.
- A self-starter with strong attention to detail
