In your role as Finance Manager you will be an integral part of the Finance team and provide timely and reliable information to the Business, Financial and External Customers.

You will be responsible for the preparation of month end accounts and for the control of the balance sheet, investigation of variances to assess the impact on risk.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Preparation of monthly results to include P&L analysis and timely reporting for 2 reporting entities.
  • Analysis and investigation of P&L key items with focus on KPI's.
  • Assistance in compiling the monthly control pack.
  • Assistance with the consolidation of the Groups numbers to Corporate Headquarters.
  • Managing the year-end audit and tax computations process across all jurisdictions, preparing statutory accounts and tax returns with assistance from internal and external resources.
  • Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and the monitoring of any variances.
  • Assistance with UK/IR/NL stock control and review of fixed assets and impairment.
  • Assistance in preparation of monthly Budget-holder reports for monthly review with Budget-holders to include timely investigation of variances to budget
  • Participation in monthly budget holder reviews
  • To work closely with Finance Director to ensure month-end process/budget reviews run smoothly (to include cross-training)
  • Review of monthly accruals and prepayments and cash reconciliations.
  • Support to the Finance Director as required

We are looking for someone with:
  • Recognised Accountancy Qualification - ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Ability to work on own initiative and in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Good IT skills including advanced Excel
  • Pro-active, positive and flexible attitude
  • Good team player
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with senior management
  • Experience of finance monitoring and control as well as budgeting and year-end disciplines.
  • Flexibility to make changes / improvements to existing reports and methodology.
  • Experience of staff management and development.
