A very rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Accountant based in the Barnsley area.
You will work whilst training with full support to allow you to gain valuable experience and knowledge, and eventually a well-recognised and reputable professional industry qualification.
These duties will include:
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Reconciliations of accounts
Overview of sales and purchase ledger
Dealing with company year end accounts including corporation tax, personal business tax and VAT
P35 company submissions
General accountancy and ad-hoc duties
Other duties as and when the business demands
You will need to be very ambitious, self-driven and academic given the study and training being offered, as well as being presentable and professional. Excellent people skills and the ability to work well in a team are also essential. Ideally have an A level pass in Maths as you would be working towards AAT qualification.
The role itself requires basic IT skills including a good understanding of excel and an overall positive attitude towards your own self-development to reflect the excellent support and training provided.
