Part Qualified - Audit

A leading, well-established independent accountancy practice, based in central Glasgow, currently requires an Audit Assistant to join its growing team. The Firm The practice has a long established track record of providing professional services to a varied client base including Accountancy, Audit and Tax compliance and advisory services. The Role This mixed role will involve assisting on audits, as well as leading smaller audits, and preparing financial accounts for a wide variety of organisations. Duties and Responsibilities Assisting with the audit process from planning and completing fieldwork through to completion and sign-off Acting as Audit Senior on smaller audits - taking responsibility for the full audit process Preparation of financial accounts Point of contact for the day-to-day communication with clients Completing audit and accountancy assignments for a diverse client base including commercial organisations, charities, housing associations and pension schemes Liaising with Managers, Directors and Partners as well as other departments The Person A minimum of 18 months similar experience obtained within an accountancy practice Currently studying towards the ICAS/ACCA qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative Excellent organisational skills
