Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd is assisting a leading Lending and retail savings Bank to recruit a Mortgage Underwriter.
The key purpose of this role is to facilitate and progress mortgage applications, within the assigned mandate level, through to mortgage offer and in line with the Bank’s operating procedures and policies.
As an Underwriter, you would be…
• Offering mortgages to approved borrowers, within assigned mandate level and agreed service standards, requesting any outstanding information if required and verifying upon receipt
• Communicating with intermediaries on declined cases, handling objections and providing objective feedback to any questions
• Providing telephone support as required ensuring customer service standards are managed and maintained
• Supporting the completions consultant where required with technical queries
Candidates should be motivated, customer focussed individuals who have experience in mortgage administration or underwriting and have GCSEs in both Maths and English.
The salary associated with the role would be based on your relevant experience, with the range being between £26,500 and £35,000
The benefits include: bonus, 22-24 days holiday and a Holiday Purchase Scheme - ability to purchase an additional 5 days holiday
