JOB
The job of Payroll Supervisor will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Ensuring that payroll data is interfaced between the HR system, the external provider’s payroll system and the financial ledgers
- Responsible for all payroll and pensions processing for multiple sites
- Supervise and manage two payroll staff in running the payroll and pension schemes
- Ensuring that payroll information is collected, calculated and entered to systems and that interfaces between HR, Payroll and financial systems are maintained
- Ensuring that payroll records are updated by the team, including changes in data such as new entrants, leavers, overtime, savings deductions, tax categories and annual leave
- Resolving complex payroll queries
- Liaising with HR & the external payroll provider to ensure integrity of payroll processing systems
- Managing the issue of appropriate tax information to HMRC (P45s, P60s)
YOU
As Payroll Supervisor you will be skilled and/or qualified in the following:
- Experience of working in a payroll team in a complex organisation (5 years minimum)
- Experience in supervising payroll staff
- Experience and knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience of payroll systems and pensions administration
- A CIPP qualification or equivalent would be beneficial
- Expertise in tax legislation and current UK legislative changes relating to pay and benefits
- Capable of strong organisation and multi-tasking
- Strong IT skills
- Strong customer service skills
