Assistant Accountant - £28,000-£30,000 per annum
Due to an increase in workload, a leading Cambridge educational establishment require an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Assistant Bursar, this role will include the following:
-Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
-Prepare VAT Returns and any other statutory reporting as required
-Prepare monthly management accounts
-Assist in the month end closure process
-Complete Surveys for the Office of National Statistics
-Reconciliation of trust fund reports, and Development Office Records
-Support and assist the Deputy Finance Manager with:
o Input and reconcile fees and other charges to student bills
o Reconcile and pay student fees
This client is ideally looking for somebody AAT fully qualifed, or ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified, and with considerable accounts experience.
Candidates should possess a sound accounting knowledge, with ideally experience of assisting with the preparation of management accounts and budgets.
It is also necessary that candidates are capable of working well within a team, possess excellent communication skills and a good level of IT literacy.
