Pier on the Waterfront invites applicants to apply for the below post Fast paced Restaurant and Bar in Montego Bay is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Cost Controller. This team member will be a part of dynamic group of individuals who are result oriented. Job Summary : Responsible to record information and produce control reports periodically to help maintain suitable food and beverage costs. Manage other costs by employing various cost cutting reviews and analyses to help in making management decisions. Ensuring customer, vendor and inventory information is up to date and accurate by prompt processing of these transactions and employing assertive procedures where necessary. Duties & Responsibilities : Preparing Variance Reports Daily Processing Sales Batches in accordance with financial policies and procedures Perform night auditing for Restaurant and Bar Customer calling and follow up for outstanding amounts Reconciling account balances and investigating and resolving any discrepancies present Posting vendor bills and credits Assisting in financial and management reports, analyses and projects. Coordinating month-end inventory count Any other duties as may be required Skills and Requirements : Problem-solving skills Solid understanding of basic accounting principles Proficient with Excel (Quickbooks would be an asset) General Math Skills Analytic and thorough attention to details Communication skills Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing environment Ability to multitask, prioritize and work efficiently Ability to anticipate work needs and initiate the necessary steps to meet these needs Ability to follow through with minimum direction/supervision to completion Ability to work with team but remain independent Qualifications: 5 CXC/CSEC Subjects including Accounts, Mathematics and English Language CAT / ACCA LEVEL I / AAT Level II Deadline for applications is May 31, 2019.
