Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join her team

Duties include;

* Administer and run all payrolls in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines from start to finish

* Process starters and leavers, ensuring that details are accurately entered into the payroll system

* Process pay/expense claims and statutory/ voluntary deductions in accordance with the authorisation procedures

* Complete detailed checks to ensure the accuracy of the payroll

* Answer queries and resolve problems and issues promptly, delivering excellent customer service standards

* Check and process any holiday pay, Pay in Lieu and redundancy pay for leavers on receipt of forms

* Check and process any deductions for leavers

* Respond accurately and promptly to pay enquiries from Officers, Employees and Pensioners as appropriate

* Escalate queries as appropriate to the Payroll Manager

* Complete, return, and record information requests

* Distribute P45s and reports to centres/departments in their remit
