Key responsibilities of the financial accountant: Complete the daily/weekly/monthly accounting, reporting and oversight to support the financial accounting and reporting processes Produce monthly reconciliations; ensure all documentation and accounting is completed in line with corporate requirements and policies Produce month end analytics and trend data to assist with the review and validation of financial results Understand the end to end process flow, acting as the link between the front/middle/back office and finance Investigate issues affecting financial and regulatory reporting, documentation of issues and concluding on new or improved controls required Work with the manager of functional control to recommend and implement standardised process improvements, identified in day to day activities Respond to and resolve queries on a timely basis from the business, finance colleagues and the head office as they arise Provide technical input to systems and business process projects as required As the financial accountant you will be an ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified accountant (or overseas equivalent). You will have 2+ years' experience in a multi-currency financial services environment (this level of experience is intended as guidance only and does not preclude someone with more or less experience from applying for the role). You will have a background in corporate financial control and sound knowledge of accounting and reporting. You will be a flexible professional who can adapt to changing work methods, deadlines and variable workloads. Experience of US GAAP or IFRS would be advantageous.
