Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant will be playing a central role in the continued growth of this Cambridge based FMCG, owning the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Cambridge site. Alongside this the successful candidate will be responsible for cost centre reporting, and with therefore need cost accountant experience.

A market leading FMCG who have seen rapid growth to start the year are in need of a Cost Accountant to join their expanding finance team to keep pace with this growth. The successful candidate will be joining an experienced working environment with ambitious goals.

Description

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for:

• Having ownership over the cost centre reporting process
• Producing detailed budgets and forecasts
• Financial assistance on any projects undertaken by the business
• Build relationships with key stakeholders within the business
• Stock reporting and the subsequent variance analysis
• Liaise closely with non-finance department to drive business decisions

Profile

The successful candidate for the vacancy will be:

• Part qualified ACCA or CIMA
• An experienced Cost Accountant
• Experienced in an FMCG, or similar sector business
• Advanced user of Excel and SAP
• Confident in building and maintaining relationships with supplier and key business stakeholders
