I am working with a music firm based in the City who are looking for an Assistant Accountant with relevant previous. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a keen interest in the Media/Music industry. They offer a structured progression path within the company and you will be responsible for providing a professional and timely accounting service in respect of payments of invoices and expenses through the Purchase Ledger.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Managing Supplier Accounts split with the rest of the team
  • Maintaining the books and records using Sage Line 50
  • Processing and tracking business rates, council tax and utilities
  • Ensuring correct coding of invoices
  • VAT Returns
  • Cash book and Bank Reconciliations
  • Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Arranging payment of authorised purchase invoices by preparing transfer documents and setting up internet payments
  • Processing payment runs
  • Assisting the Team Leader and Head of Department with ad hoc projects that may arise

Experience Needed
  • At least 2+years' previous experience in a Finance role
  • Currently studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA
  • Good use of Time Management
  • Motivated with a 'can do' attitude
  • IT literate, including good knowledge of Microsoft
  • Keen interest in the Music Industry
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
