My client is a long established Chartered Accountancy in the Farnham area. They are looking to secure an assistant accountant who will be principally responsible for delivering book-keeping and accounts preperation services to a portfolio of small to medium sized businesses.

Assistant Accountant - About The Role
Main objective: processing and preparing financial data including management accounts for a portfolio of clients of varying sizes. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial data up to trial balance
- Double entry book-keeping and bank reconciliations
- Prepayments, accruals and VAT returns
- Preparation of Corporation Tax
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
The successful Assistant Accountant will have:
- Must have Previous Public Practice or Outsourcing experience
- Hold AAT or equivalent qualifications or be almost qualified
- Must have Sage and Xero and IRIS software experience
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Must be competent in all accounting principles
- Ability to meet deadline and work under pressure with limited supervision
- Excellent attention to detail, and a good attitude
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be customer focused
- Must be able to liaise effectively with a range of clients and internal stakeholders with overall responsibility for the clients
