Assistant Accountant - This dynamic, high profile real estate, property investment business with a number of locations in the heart London's West End, is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join its busy finance function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, general duties will include:
The successful candidate will be a strong all-rounder accounts person with exposure to management accounts, cash flow, VAT, CIS, accounts receivable and accounts payable. The successful candidate will come from a property development / construction background and have strong IT skills. This is a small accounts department at a stable and dynamic business with an excellent variety of work
- Assisting the Head of Finance to produce monthly management accounts
- Journal preparation and posting, including prepayments and accruals
- Cash flow forecasting
- Weekly/monthly bank reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Quarterly VAT returns
- CIS subcontractor verification, accounting and monthly Returns
- Assist with the production of the monthly management accounts
- Sales and purchase ledger invoice processing
- Ad hoc analysis tasks
