Main Purpose of The Role: Transaction development and execution. Management of key corporate broking relationships Key Responsibilities: Take day-to-day management responsibility for the "full cycle" of transactional execution, including preparing marketing pitches and documents, undertaking and reviewing financial analysis, preparing or reviewing (as required) all key documents (prospectuses, circulars, announcements, material agreements, etc.) and general project management, working alongside and assisting more senior members of the team and directing the work of more junior members Work with the team in servicing day-to-day requirements of retained corporate clients (ad hoc advice on UKLA / LSE rules, issues and buy-backs of shares, etc.) and assisting in relationship management Possess a strong knowledge of the industry and CFE’s product and service offerings. Expected to possess expertise in the quantitative and analytical practices used to develop strategic, capital structure and valuation recommendations to clients and work alongside senior bankers in providing relationship support and executing transactions Leverage existing relationships within the industry and the buy-side investment community as well as seeking to foster and develop new connections and contacts Ensure compliance in accordance with CFE or regulatory standards and policies Participate in building the business over the long term by developing individual expertise in Investment Companies and contributing to enhancing the CFE franchise and brand Be alert to Conduct Risk issues, specifically the risk of harm to client interests, market integrity and/or competition in financial markets due to inappropriate practices or behaviours across the firm Skills / experience required: At least three years’ corporate finance / corporate broking experience specifically in the investment companies sector Current experience of Sponsor Services as a Key Contact (as defined by the FCA’s Listing Rules) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity Knowledge of technical and regulatory rules and regimes (FCA Listing Rules, Prospectus Rules and DTRs and UK Takeover Code) Strong financial modelling/valuation techniques and analytical skills Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgement Resourceful, diligent with close attention to detail and strong intellectual curiosity Commitment to strong teamwork environment but also the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Highly organised, self-motivated, proactive and results-driven Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications Develop proficiency with investment banking software packages such as Factset, Bloomberg and Morningstar Systems used: Microsoft Office Factset Bloomberg Morningstar
