About the Role

Retail Merchant Services are currently recruiting for Credit Controller to join our growing team at our Milton Keynes Head Office.

As a Credit controller you will be contacting customers to arrange payment collection of overdue account using payment methods such as taking payments by credit card, Bacs transfer and by cheque.

You will be required to meet daily targets for value of overdue money and maintain a working spreadsheet with customers details of monies collected. You will also be required to achieve daily call targets.

This person will work within a team of approximately 7 people and will be based at our head office in central Milton Keynes.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- professional, polite and confident on the phone
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Results driven with a commitment to quality
  • High attention to detail/accuracy levels

The ideal Candidate will be:
  • Experience within credit control and customer liaison via telephone (circa 50 calls a day)
  • Calm under pressure
  • Computer literate to include Excel and Word
  • Persuasive, tenacious and a strong negotiator
  • Ability to work on own initiative but within a team focused environment

Salary of £22,000 to £24,000 dependent on experience, with uncapped commission. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.45am until 5.15pm.
