Group Accountant

This is a brilliant opportunity for a technical candidate who is looking for more commercial exposure. The role is newly created with a view to it being the number two position to the Group Financial Controller. The role will play a vital part in developing the team and providing commercial insight into the business. Description

The key responsibilities of this role are:

- Managing the preparation of the group financial statements

- Providing technical accounting support to the team

- Acting as a key point of contact for the year-end audit

- Assisting in developing and training the team

- Develop and improve and statutory reporting environment

- Provide analysis into key trends

- Carry out ad - hoc reporting analysis for senior stakeholders in the business

- Analyse and review budgets and forecasts

- Provide analysis on KPIs

- Review of monthly management accounts

- Work alongside internal audit to develop and improve financial processes and procedures

Profile

The successful candidates will be:

- ACA / ACCA qualified

- Practice background

- Exposure to statutory accounts and knowledge of IFRS and FRS102

- Well organised and efficient individual with good communication skills

- Strong excell
