Executive Manager - Credit Administration REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: roup Chief Executive Officer DIRECT REPORTS:Supervisor - Central Securities Unit Collections Co-ordinator Credit Analyst Secretary - Credit Administration JOB SUMMARY: The incumbent will administer the credit portfolio of Eastern Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited and will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and systems geared towards effecting high levels of control and ensuring a high level of quality service delivery. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Approve/recommend loans outside of Branch limits. Review files for Credit/Waiver Committee approval. Formulate policies and procedures to guide the organization's credit function. Review and sign off new credit packages and products. Develop and implement effective strategies for delinquency reduction, management and control. Monitor and ensure adherence to Credit and Delinquency Management Policies at branches. Liaise with attorneys and handle all legal matters related to Credit. Supervise the Collections Coordinator to ensure the effective follow-up of delinquent loans. Design and conduct effective training programmes for credit administration, loan recovery and securities administration. Develop and implement appropriate systems to ensure the perfection, renewal and follow-up of loan securities and oversee the release of security instruments. Supervise the activities of the Central Securities Unit to ensure effective securities administration Assist in the achievement of lending targets outlined in the Credit Union's Budget. Provide advice and guidance to Management on credit issues. Attend meetings of the Credit Committee and provide such technical advice as required. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE A First Degree in Management, Accounting or Finance. A minimum of five (5) years credit experience at a senior level in the financial services sector. Experience in the Credit Union Sector will be an asset. Extensive training in Credit/Risk Management. Proven experience in consumer and corporate lending. Ability to devise work out solutions for loans requiring special attention.
