Audit & Accounts Senior job in Derby for an ACCA/ACA qualified accountant working in a public practice accountancy firm. An ideal opportunity for an Audit or Accounts Senior who would like to gain access to a diverse client base and an interesting mix of work. Because of the broad spectrum of specialist services offered by the practice this role will involve the potential to be involved with ad hoc projects to include working on transactions, supporting the Banking and Finance team, and helping the Senior Management team with more consultancy based work. This family owned multi-office practice provides a proactive and consultative service to a broad spectrum of clients. The practice specialises particularly in advising entrepreneurs and owner managed businesses, with the addition of a central audit team delivering to entities up to £100m turnover. The group has grown quickly over recent years both via acquisition and through strong organic growth. Services offered are diverse and continue to be developed over time, allowing ample opportunity for the successful candidate to diversify their skillset by working with other specialist departmentsThe main responsibilities for this Audit & Accounts Senior include; • Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships, LLP's & Charities• Reviewing the work of more junior members of staff• Planning and completion of audits• Taking full responsibilities of the day to day audit process• Working closely with the PartnersThe perfect Audit & Accounts Senior will ACCA/ACA qualified with a number of years' experience of working within a busy public practice accountancy firm. The work will be fairly evenly split between Audit and Accounts, but the successful candidate will need the confidence and experience to enable them to lead on Audits.
