The opportunity

We are looking for a PHP Developer within the Technology team. This role is offered on a flexible full time basis.

Your key responsibilities
  • Work within a team to develop new CMS features, custom applications and web components
  • Develop new code and maintain existing web applications
  • Work with PHP using the latest tools and technologies
  • Collaborate in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment
  • Work closely with project management to successfully deliver on schedule
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions
  • Write clean and fully documented code
Skills and attributes for success
  • An insatiable appetite and excitement for new web technologies and techniques
  • Experience working as part of a development team
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS and JS Frameworks (jQuery, Backbone.js, etc.)
  • CMS experience preferred, especially Drupal or WordPress
  • PHP with 'hands-on' capabilities
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think clearly and logically.
  • Experience with server trouble shooting
  • A good eye for design detail and high standards.
  • Can work to deadline and juggle competing priorities.
  • Willingness to take ownership of projects.
Ideally, you'll also have
  • The ability to build relationships with colleagues across the business, supporting them and promoting a collaborative culture
  • The ability to contribute to high quality deliverables which provide relevant insights underpinned by a keen attention to detail
  • The skills to apply a structured approach to project management and documentation, and a demonstrated understanding of risk based auditing methodologies
