Senior Accounting Manager (General Ledger and Accounting Control)

Responsibilities

Supervising managers to perform month-end closing, prepare reports at management's requests
Manage implementation of projects on accounting systems
Design internal accounting control procedures and perform examination of compliance in accounting policies
Prepare analytical reports and participate in ad hoc projects to support management's decision and departmental operation
Participate in developing and maintaining procedure manuals

Requirements

Degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Qualified member of HKICPA or other professional accountancy bodies
At least 8 years' banking experience in financial reporting or audit experience in a Big Four/recognized reputable accounting firm or banking industry, of which 3 years in a managerial position. Regional exposure is an advantage
Independent, self-motivated, well-organised and able to work under pressure with tight deadline
Strong collaboration and teamwork
High degree of flexibility in adaption to changes
Strong mastery of MS Office, particularly in Excel and Word
Sound knowledge of HKFRS, IFRS and relevant regulations
Excellent analytical skills and critical mindset, capable of examining and analyzing financial and management information with business acumen
Good presentation and writing skills in both Chinese and English. Chinese word processing skill is a must
Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
Knowledge and experience in participating in system design and implementation is an advantage
