Argus Contracting, a subsidiary of the Irex Contracting Group, specializes in industrial insulation, abatement of mold, asbestos, and lead, environmental hazard remediation, and industrial protective coatings.

Argus Contracting is in need of an Project Accountant for its Santa Fe Springs, CA location. This position requires a highly organized and strong multi–tasker with the motivation and ability to follow through on every detail.

Review of reporting for open contracts and work with Account Managers, to ensure contracts are invoiced and regularly updated.
Prepare monthly billings with the assistance of Account Managers.
Enter project set–up information into Company's' EPC.
Enter billings into Company's EPC and mail invoices to the customer.
Close completed projects.
Oversee all necessary notifications for regulated projects.
Assist with the preparation of proposals and quotations and miscellaneous correspondence as required.
Work with Account Managers in the preparation of correspondence to the customer documenting changes and impacts. When necessary, also help with the preparation of delay and impact claims.
Assist with the preparation and mailing of pre–qualification package.
Ensure subcontract agreements have been prepared for all subcontractors and proof of insurance is obtained.


Make regular collection calls and assist the corporate credit department in collecting receivables.
Maintain contact with the customer to ensure the timely collections of receivables. Ensure that our lien rights are not lost on accounts that may become collection problems.
Assist the Account Manager with customer relations as needed.


Send out all correspondence as required on a timely basis.
Ensure that all communication in the office is handled promptly, thoroughly and with courtesy.
Notify your manager immediately whenever a problem occurs that might have an impact on the Branch.
