Group Accountant

The Group Accountant role will be a number 2 to the Financial Controller. The FC is looking for a driven, qualified accountant, who he can mentor and help to develop. You will be responsible for the day to day development and maintenance of an efficient finance function.

Description

The Group Accountant will be responsible for:

• Preparation of timely Management Accounts and reports
• Ownership of the board pack reporting function
• Day to day support and coordination of the finance function, including providing support and development for junior members of staff
• Management of cash flow forecasts
• Managing the statutory audit process
• Assisting with budgeting/forecasting
• Continuous review and improvements of accounting process and systems
• Assistant to the Financial Controller
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required

Profile

The successful Group Accountant will:

• Have recently achieved a fully recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
• Previous experience of managing and/or supervising other staff
• Previous experience within a Management Accounts role
• Excellent excel skills
• A key eye for detail with the ability to identify and improve accounting systems and processes
• Confidently be able to liaise with senior members of the business
• Self-motivated and driven to develop skills and progress a career
• Be hard working and a strong support to the FC

£35,000 - £38,000 plus benefits
