Claims Adjuster - Consumer Products.

HFG have partnered with a leading Lloyd's Syndicate to assist with their search for a Claims Adjuster.

Main Purpose:
To handle claims for the Specialist Consumer Products team and to assist other team members as appropriate.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Managing and handling claims within authority levels in accordance with the Claims PACE principles and the Practices and Procedures ensuring and delivering the very highest level of customer service to our policyholders.
  • Claim referral point.
  • Analysis of TPA & Coverholder Claims Management Information.
  • Conduct oversight of TPAs & Coverholders.
  • ECF processing.
  • Interaction with Processing Team/Finance.
  • Working closely with underwriting team.
  • Overseeing TPA & Coverholder relationships (audits, review meetings, due diligence).

Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of Consumer claims handling and management.
  • Understanding and application of legal and regulatory issues.
  • Knowledge of coverages, benefits and exclusions.
  • Understanding and application of claims handling processes in relation to market systems and in house systems.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Personal Qualities:
  • Excellent use standard applications e.g. Excel.
  • Proven data/analytical experience.
  • 2-3 years Claims handling experience; ideally some knowledge of Household/Gadget/Travel/Creditor/Motor Warranty experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • CII exam or progress towards.
