My client is seeking a Junior IT Applications Support Analyst to join their team for a 23 month contract. This position would ideally suit someone with approx. 1 year post graduate experience in a similar IT role.
The Applications Support Analyst will have day-day responsibility for managing support, availability and performance of critical core IT banking applications in line with strict service levels and delivery of best in class customer service.
The successful candidate will be experienced in Application support and looking for the next step in their career. They will have strong communication skills and the ability to deliver IT service which is aligned with the ITIL methodology.
Main responsibilities
·Take ownership for the co-ordination and hands on delivery of IT application support.
·Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day IT application issues from users
·Maintain a log of all issues, inc incident and problem management based on priorities and associated service levels.
·Maintain and develop controls to ensure applications are performing correctly.
·Conduct user access audits as required by Auditors
·Manage production, test and development systems
·Work collaboratively with colleagues on the infrastructure and IT Security teams.
·Prepare and review technical documents and support documentation
·Co-ordinate system change approvals and releases to production
Skills and experience required:
·Degree in an IT related subject
·Approx. 1-2 years' experience in an application support role.
·SQL programming experience would be ideal or interest in developing this skill.
·ITIL Service Delivery experience preferred
