Pertemps Specialist Division are currently recruiting a Payroll Officer for a massive organisation who operate nationwide. This is on a 6 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of an extension.Duties will include:
- Assisting in processing various monthly and hourly payrolls to tight deadlines.
- Collating and processing payroll data.
- Calculating and verifying SSP, SMP and SPP payments.
- Processing starters, leavers, contract changes and ensuring the payroll records are updated accordingly.
- Processing monthly and year end processes such as P45's, P60's and legislative information.
- Processing monthly, year-end and ad hoc reports.
- Responding to all payroll queries received in a professional and efficient manner.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience of processing large hourly and monthly payrolls.
- Ability to input data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work within a team or under own initiative.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office, including Excel & Outlook.
- Good organisational skills with a methodical approach towards workloads.
- Be able to remain calm and focussed in a pressurised environment.
- Resilient and resourceful with a 'can do' attitude.
