Job Description

Finance
  • Oversight of the accounting function
  • Preparation of management reports & financial statements
  • Maintaining policies and procedures
  • Preparing budgets and financial plans
  • Implementing and maintaining performance measures
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls
  • Ensuring ongoing profitability of the business
  • Review & optimize creation of new customer accounts
  • Cash flow management and liquidity
  • Lead of production of monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of financial performance against budget & cash flow, financial and operational goals
  • Prepare draft audit accounts and be a liaison with the externally appointed auditor
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for the organisation
  • Ensure compliance to statutory and other requirements such as PAYE,NSSF,permits

Operations
  • Improve operational systems, processes and policies -- specifically, better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organisational planning
  • Supervises the maintenance, operations and repairs of the fleet
  • Develops and implements a preventative maintenance program for entire fleet;
  • Approves requisitions, purchase orders;
  • Reviews time and motion records of fleet employees to determine downtime for maintenance and repairs of vehicles;
  • Investigates & resolve complaints received on vehicle condition
  • Follow through insurance claims
  • Investigates garage and work areas for adherence to safety codes and regulations;
  • Recommend automation of processes as need arises
  • Prepares written reports, memorandum;
  • Ensure effective communication to all stakeholders
  • Keep up with the industry trends


Team Lead
  • Supervise subordinate team of 10+
  • Schedules leave days for fleet employees;
  • Interviews prospective employees and orients to operations;
  • Supervise the hiring process of fleet drivers
  • Schedule & optimize the process of hiring drivers
  • Organize training of staff as need arises
  • Supervise the process of hiring drivers
  • Develop KPI's and periodically appraise the team


Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree preferably Commerce finance option

Any relevant degree will be considered.

CPA-K is an added advantage

2-3 years experience in a supervisory role, in a fast paced environment

Knowledge of the maintenance, operation, and repair of motor equipment is an added advantage

Excellent communication skills
