Senior Associate - Internal Audit & Risk, Edinburgh/Glasgow, Competitive Salary Your new companyThis is an exciting opportunity to join a leading chartered accountancy firm based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow and would suit a newly qualified Audit Senior looking to make a move away from external audit into internal audit and risk assurance.Your new roleSitting within the advisory team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio working largely with financial services clients. Your primary responsibility will be managing internal audit, advisory and risk assurance projects, controls projects for your clients from engagement to completion. You will also gain exposure to working within regulatory/prudential/CASS reporting.You will be given responsibility for building and maintaining client relationships and will actively be involved in training and mentoring junior members of staff. What you'll need to succeedYou will need to be a qualified accountant either CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent and will have a background working in the profession - ideally working with Financial Services clients. You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong technical background and will have trained within a reputation chartered accountancy firm preferably within external audit/internal audit/risk assurance. It is important that you have exceptional communication skills both verbal and written and will be able to show a track record of building rapport with key internal and external stakeholders.
