Role Profile:
The duties of the CAT trainee would typically involve but are not restricted to the following:
Trust and Company administration
* All aspects of trust and company administration which will include direct contact with clients
* Liaison with third party institutions such as banks, brokers and rental agents
Accountancy
* Bookkeeping including inputting client records
* Preparation of accounting schedules and accounts files
* Preparation of Financial Statements
* Preparation of investment schedules
* Preparation of management information for clients
Taxation
* Preparation of personal tax computations and returns
* Preparation of corporate tax computations and returns
* Preparation of VAT computations and returns
Other responsibilities
* Filing and general office duties as required
* Preparation of meeting packs with supporting schedules
* Assisting the Managers and Partners as required
* Provision of cover for other members of staff
* Setting up payments
* Preparation of wage slips and year end employer returns
* Assisting the Managers with compliance requirements
Person Profile:
This role is for a trainee accountant to join a busy multi-disciplinary practice, with study support package focused on certification in CAT.
The right candidate will be:
* Committed to study and following a career within the accounting profession
* Understands the need to study hard to complete the professional qualification
* Educated to A' Level standard (min. Grade C Mathematics & English) or a recent graduate in a finance related field
* An excellent communicator and able to work well within a team
* Fine attention to detail in all aspects of your work
No prior experience is necessary as on the job training will be provided in all aspects of the role
