Role

An opportunity has arisen for the role of Manager in the Real Estate and Infrastructure (REIF) Team. Our team provides Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting Services to our clients. The team is regarded as the leading provider of Fund Administration services to the Irish Real Estate market.

This role will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop both knowledge and experience of a dynamic and varied client environment and represents an exciting opportunity to work with a number of niche asset managers.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assist Head of REIF in all internal reporting and trackers relating to regulatory and filing deadlines.
  • Ensure administration procedures are in place for each activity and fund within the team which are fit for purpose for Internal Audit and Control
  • Ensure detailed Fund administration procedures are in place which are fit for purpose for outsourcing or transfer to any other partner within the team.
  • Manages a Real Estate & Infrastructure Funds (REIF) team within our Limerick REIF operation.
  • Has responsibility for the delivery of high quality service to each of the clients assigned to that team.
  • Plays a key leadership role and contributes to the management, growth and success of the REIF business.

Financial Reporting

  • Manages and assists where necessary with the day to day administration of REIF funds
  • Manages the preparation of interim and annual financial statements for Property Funds including the completion of consolidated financial statements for complex cross-border structures.
  • Active liaison with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries.
  • Ensures agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met.
  • Oversees the preparation of regulatory returns, including compliance reports, Central Bank and CSO returns.

Fund Accounting

  • Approves and checks each NAV thoroughly prior to issue having due regard to all the legal agreements pertaining to the fund.
  • Manages the REIF team through the collection of relevant information to facilitate production of NAVs.
  • Ensures NAV’s are issued accurately and within defined timeframes.
  • Ensures the accurate and timely payment of operating expenses.
  • Liaises with new clients to determine fund structure and level of detail required to support striking of NAV.

Client Servicing

  • Provides unrivalled client satisfaction and continuously improve the department’s performance to clients (internal and external).
  • Communicates effectively with clients, investors and associated parties on fund activities.
  • Ensures that operating arrangements are clearly established on inception of a fund.
  • Ensures that documentation, legal and compliance issues are complete.
  • Keeps abreast of current activities in the REIF’s market as well as industry and regulatory developments.
  • Liaises with other internal departments such as Trustee, Legal, Transfer Agency and Company Secretarial.
  • Contributes to the marketing and sales process to prospective clients via sales presentations, RFP responses etc.

Purchase and Sale of Property Investments

  • Understands the structure of property transactions.
  • Understands the process and approvals required.
  • Co-ordinates of approval process.
  • Ensures that appropriate documentation and records are maintained.

Skills/ Experience

  • Hold a recognized Professional Accounting Qualification with c.10 years industry / practice experience
  • Hold of or be studying for the final stages of a recognised Professional Accounting Qualification.
  • Detailed knowledge of Irish/UK GAPP and IFRS.
  • Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory /tax regime as it relates to Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to quickly gain knowledge of Property Fund Administration.
  • Demonstrate leadership and team-building qualities and ability to motivate a team.
  • Ability to participate in systems development projects.
  • Demonstrates commitment to producing high quality work and to timeframes required.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Understands the structure of property transactions.
  • Understands the process and approvals required.
  • Co-ordinates of approval process.
  • Ensures that appropriate documentation and records are maintained.
