Accounts Assistant

Pertemps Specialist Division are delighted to be working in collaboration with a global organisation, who are looking to add an experienced accountants assistant to their growing team. Based in their Edinburgh office, and reporting directly to the finance director, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the execution of assignments, by supporting the preparation of accounts, and producing management documentation.

This role would ideally suit a professional from a practice or legal background, and who is looking to progress their career in accountancy/finance, alongside working with a friendly, supportive team in one of the world’s largest consulting firms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of accounts
• Produce account analysis and control reconciliations
• Provide effective and efficient accountancy services to the firm’s clients
• Assist the accounts team in all aspects of finance
• Complete any ad hoc duties as required

What You Will Have:

• Previous accounts/finance experience in a practice or legal firm is desirable
• Relevant accountancy qualification would be desirable (eg AAT, ACCA etc)
• Experience of accounting software (Sage, SAP, Xero)

• Rigorous and consistent approach to monthly reporting procedures
• Solid Excel skills with the ability to handle data in an efficient way
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Business acumen, self-motivation and strong relationship skills
• Ability to work well & co-ordinate with different departments
