Accountant and Procurement Specialist My client is looking to hire an experienced Account and Procurement Specialist to join its expanding office in Dublin. Duties & Responsibilities: Assist in the development of internal procurement policies/procedures to ensure that all tender competitions are conducted in accordance with best practice and relevant national and EU procurement legislation. Work closely with the Financial Controller and Senior Financial Accountant to ensure appropriate levels of communication, integrated planning of resources and achievement of joint objectives and development of an overall strategy for the department. Maintain records, prepare reports and issue invoices as appropriate for all new and existing projects. Review all new projects for tax compliance. Provide guidance on procurement methodologies and risks including the best means of procuring what is required. Ensures orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts, liaising across various departments. Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications. Contributes to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the local supplier base. Development and maintenance of financial models as required. Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies. Leads finance and logistics staff in resolving reception and invoice discrepancies. Data gathering in relation to time recording in respect to centralised procedures. Managing of monthly fees reconciliations. Implement system of supplier management and review of supplier contracts. Perform any financial reporting or audit requirements out of the new Code of Governance for State Bodies. Involvement in any relevant project as required by the company. Requirements: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Strong IT skills, experience working with different account packages and proficient in Microsoft excel. Excellent Interpersonal skills, able to make decisions and influence others. Ability to thrive and deliver consistently under pressure. Great team player and also able to work on own initiative. Demonstrate effective analytical skills. Solid negotiating skills, you will be working with suppliers to create the best deals. Previous exposure to national and EU procurement legislation, experience in Public Sector procurement would be an advantage. To find out more contact the consultant working on these roles.
